Express Savings and Loans Company Limited is licensed by the Bank of Ghana to operate a business of Savings and Loans in accordance with the Financial Institutions (Non-Banking) Law, 1993 PNDCL 328.

Opened to public on 1st October, 2007.

Our core businesses are deposit mobilisation and granting of loans to individuals and micro, small and medium enterprises.

He is the principal shareholder of Express Savings & Loans Company Limited and a significant shareholder of Express Life Insurance Company Limited.

Mr. Mark Addo is an experienced Business Operations Executive with over 20 years of proven ability to deliver results in diverse businesses with significant global exposure in strategic business management and planning, product management, and new business start-ups. Mr. Addo is the Vice President (Sustainability) at Endeavour Mining Corporation, West African Group Operations, Accra







Ms. Sara Orleans-Pobee




Ms. Sara Orleans-Pobee is a Finance specialist with over 10 years industry experience. She is currently the Head of Corporate Finance at Fidelity Securities.

George Gyasi Adjei (Group Executive Director)


George is a Professional Legal Practitioner and also an accomplished HR Consultant with over 20 years of continuous working experience in Banking and Insurance. His industry-wide experience in both areas span through Middle Management, Senior Management and Executive Management levels respectively. BL, LLB, MBA (HR), BA (Sociology), IHRMP – (Member), CIPD – UK (Member)



Gabriel Anning (Internal Audit Manager)


An FMAAT (UK), affiliate of the International Federation of Accountants (IFAC), and a holder of UK’s National Vocational Qualification Level IV in accounting and commerce, with over twenty years cross cultural/industry management-level experience in accounting, finance, corporate governance, and auditing. Currently on a long-distance MSc. Audit Management and Consultancy course with the City of Birmingham University in the U. K.



Charles Ofori- Agyekum (Head of Finance)


Charles has over ten years working experience in Banking and Finance. He served as a Finance Manager for Lister Medical Services, Accra Brewery Limited and K. E. Group of Companies. In 2007, Charles moved to the banking sector and has experience in Audit, Internal Control and Compliance and Marketing. Charles is a Certified Chartered Accountant (Chartered in 2006) and has been involved in  setting up finance and audit departments for companies in different sectors of the economy including: E – toys and More, Home Support and Allied Micro Finance, Global Credit and Bethel Farms




Joseph Affoh (Deputy Head of Finance)


Joseph has a total of 19 years’ experience in accounting, finance and Information systems.  . He worked at three auditing firms: Nii Quaye Mensah and Associates, Egala Atitso and Associates and Baah Wiredu and Co. before coming to Express Savings and Loans Co. Ltd. He holds an MSc in (Business Information Technology Systems), and is a part qualified candidate of the ACCA (UK)-Part 1 & 2.



Muhammad Hussain (Head of Operations)

An associate of the Institute of Banker’s in Pakistan (AIBP, PK) and a holder of PK’s Masters degree in Statistics from Punjab University Lahore, and Master of Business Administration(MBA) with major in finance from VU Lahore. Muhammad has been in the banking industry for the past twenty one year’s with cross cultural/industry management-level experience in business development, operations, corporate governance, and auditing. Muhammad has also worked in conventional banking and Islamic banking in Pakistan. He is currently the Head of Operations at ESLC.


Therson Mintah (Ag. Head of IT)


Therson has eight years of experience in the Information Technology Systems. He was an MIS Manager at NHIS, Sefwi Wiawso and has also worked with SSNIT. He has experience in computer programming and  known for his analytical and problem solving skills. He also has experience in database administration and has worked with Oracle, SQL Server and MySql databases and Linux Server.




Absalom Nii Ayi Aryeetey (Head of Recovery)


Absalom is currently the Acting Head of Recovery. Until his appointment he has acted in the capacity of the Regional Credit and Recovery Manager for the southern sector. He joined ESLC in 2007 as a credit officer and has risen through the ranks.

He has a Bsc degree in Agricultural Economics from the university of Ghana in 2005.He also hold an Associate Membership of the Institute of Human Resource Management Practitioners ,Ghana(IHRMP).As a micro finance practitioner, Absalom  has had training  in investments at the Ghana Stock Exchange and attended many workshops and seminars.



Jonas Kofi Arhin (Ag. Head of Sales & Marketing)


Jonas has over 18 years of progressive professional working experience in both Non-Banking Financial Institutions and Management Consulting with about 10 years at middle and senior management levels respectively in Human Resource, Organizational Development, Banking Operations, Corporate Support, Marketing, and Clients Relationship Management. MSc – (OD & CM), MBA–HRM (Ongoing), BSc – HRM, IHRMP–Assoc Member, CIPD–Assoc. Member, ACIB (Intermediate)




Anna Twumasi (Head of Risk & Compliance)


Anna has 14years working experience which comprises of 13 years in non-banking financial institutions i.e. Express Funds as customer service officer and system administrator. She has also been working with Express Savings and loans since inception as Branch Manager, Area Manager and Operations Risk manager. Aside that, she worked with Sonitra Ghana Ltd as an account officer for a month, secretary at Seather Real Estate and account officer (casual) at State Transport Company. BSc. Admin (Accounting), Diploma in Business Studies (Accounting Option).




Natalie Danquah (Head, Corporate Planning & Admin / Ag. Head of HR)


Natalie has about 6 years of continuous working experience and her area of expertise spans through Clients Relations, Banking Operations, Credit Administration, Business Continuity and Corporate Planning in both Middle and Management Level respectively. Her work experience started from Express Funds International and Express Savings & Loans Company since its inception. She is a very dedicated member of the management team. She holds an MSc Finance & Risk Management & MSc Occupational Psychology.



Bevin Ofori (Head of Credit)


Bevin holds an MSc in Industrial Mathematics from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST). Joining ESLC from its inception in 2007, she has risen through the ranks from a Credit Officer, Branch Manager, Operations Risk Manager, and Assistant Credit Manager until her recent appointment as the Head of Credit. She has attended several trainings and seminars on credit risk management and banking and finance. With her rich experience in credit and banking operations, she has contributed immensely in the credit and staff development.

The company currently operates from 17 branches, scattered all over the country. It is represented in all the regional capitals except Ho, Bolgatanga and Wa. By the end of 2018, the company will be operating from 22 branches.

The strategic plan for operations will involve the introduction of branch profitability concept where branches are treated as business units in charge of revenue generation, cost control and ultimately, profit. The Branch Managers will champion this strategy, with the Head of Operations being the Co-coordinator.
We shall introduce a new concept called “Qualitative Disbursement” with the aim of improving portfolio quality and also fine-tune the existing ‘Loan Write-Off Policy’.
